Rio Chama

This picture was taken along the Chama river near the Christ in the Desert Monastery in Northern New Mexico.  The pinhole camera was placed on a wooden beam that supports the bridge railing.  My friend Iain kept track of the exposure time as I supported the camera (I was afraid of it falling off to the river below) and operated the shutter (a piece of tape).

The wood grain from the support beam is the foreground - only inches from the pinhole.
